The Pirate

By Nadia and Finn

There once was a pirate
who sailed the seas
She was so kind,
She made friends with the bees
She looked for some food
On her trip on the seas,
But all she found,
Was a hunk of cream cheese
“Ahoy!” yelled the pirate,
“With this cream cheese,
We must make a meal,
Of cream cheese and peas!”
And then not much later,
On the back of a gator,
She then found an island,
That served many taters
She ate them quite fast,
And her belly went blast,
So she had to get a cast,
That always would last
The pain was not bad,
So she saw her dad,
But her dad was quite mad,
Which made her very sad
So she went to bed,
And woke up and ate bread.
But the bread was quite stale,
Which made her quite pale.
Soon she won the lottery,
And found the ocean so watery,
That she spent her time,

A Haiku

By Ellie

Peacefulness destroyed
Many people killed and hurt
Lots of violence, sad

While working from home, two brothers (one in elementary and one in primary) focus on their own activities while sharing a work space.

A student helps prepare a meal by scrubbing potatoes clean.

This primary student searched for worms to put into his vegetable garden at home.

Taking birthday trips around the sun. What a great way to celebrate a birthday with family!

Seth was inspired to paint this because of the Greek myth around Persephone.

A student continues their work at home by drawing a large artwork of animals found in the sea.

A four-year-old made pizza dough in class. He took it home and made a pizza with his family. Here he has written his teacher an update about the pizza. “Dear Ms. Thompson, I miss you. My pizza was so good.”

A student continues to explore her love for language at home. She is writing a story about a monkey who discovers a trapped butterfly and sets it free!

Canyon wanted to share this chameleon drawing he did in pastel.
