Extracurricular at FCMS
We are offering extracurriculars here at FCMS for the ‘24-’25 school year!
Hosting extracurriculars here at FCMS helps eliminate the stress of having to shuffle your student around yourself when you already have so much on your plate. While these companies are not directly hired through FCMS, we have built a relationship with these trusted companies and they have heightened our students' experience with an array of activities. These companies are part of our FCMS community. We strive to provide top-notch experiences and opportunities for our students. This principle continues into these aftercare extracurriculars. Please read below to learn about these excellent programs.
Piano Lessons:
Thursday: Lessons begin at 3:30
Teaches students to read music using a multiple-key approach emphasizing recognition of intervals rather than names of notes. After mastering knowledge of the significant scales, students are then ready to play with any key. This program is a program that will run throughout the school year, and these lessons will build onto each other. By the end of the year, students will have a foundation of piano knowledge and be able to play fundamental songs. This program does request practicing at home to help your student be successful and have proper progression. Keyboards will be provided for each student to use during the lessons here at FCMS.

How extracurriculars work here at FCMS:
When your student is dismissed from their academic day they will come to the aftercare room. Our aftercare staff will ensure your student arrives at their extracurricular at the appropriate time and place (we host the programs here on FCMS campus). When the program is finished, they can be picked up or they can join us in aftercare. If you choose to pick your student up right when the program ends, we will have a prorated aftercare price for you this year. For more information about the different pick up options please contact Sara Robertson ([email protected]).
Payment:
To enroll your student in our extracurriculars they will need to be enrolled in aftercare on the correlating day. Payments for extracurriculars will be paid directly through the programs themselves. We send invoices for aftercare via Procare at the start of every month.
Questions:
If you have specific questions regarding the program, please contact the instructor directly. *Once you have registered for an extracurricular or if you have any questions, please contact Sara Robertson ([email protected]).
