Janay started studying Early Childhood Education at the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 before transferring to Aims Community College in 2019, where she is gradually working on finishing her Associate’s Degree. While living in Greeley she worked in play-based centers with children ages 1-6, reinforcing her love for working with young children.

After moving to Fort Collins in 2020, she joined FCMS as a primary assistant in 2021, and is now enjoying supporting both the classrooms and the office in the role of support staff. While still new to Montessori, she is loving learning and growing in this environment, and is grateful to be part of the FCMS community and to be able to continue to share her love of learning with children.



When not at school, she enjoys caring for her plants (and adding to the collection), reading, spending time with her boyfriend, and learning embroidery after being inspired by watching the children working on it at school! She hopes to be adding a cat to her family in the near future.
