Amber Wilder was a founding teacher at Fort Collins Montessori School (2014-2017), and comes to Montessori education from a background in social justice and equity work, bringing with her to the classroom a deep love for humanity.
Since leaving Fort Collins in 2017 for the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Amber has taught Early Head Start – working together with low income families, with children prenatal to three, to better understand and guide their child’s development; worked in a Family Housing program, providing housing case management and support to families experiencing homelessness; and also partnered with a local Psychotherapist to provide private parent coaching to families.
Amber is passionate about early literacy, and collects children’s books and works of art from her favorite illustrators. Outside of the classroom you’ll find Amber almost always accompanied by her sweet dog Clover Rainbow. Amber enjoys singing (especially with children!), making art, sewing, reading books, reading and writing poetry, yoga, and being in nature.
