What is Montessori? You may have heard about this method of learning, but what exactly is it?

In a Montessori classroom, the focus is on developing every aspect of the child—physical, social, emotional and cognitive. These elements make up what Dr. Maria Montessori called the “whole child.” Many of the lessons that Montessori educators teach are valuable life skills that will serve your child for her lifetime. 

Interested in learning more about the Montessori Method? Please join us for Open House Nights this month. Come meet our staff, explore classrooms and materials, and learn all about what FCMS can offer your child.

 

Pre-K Open House (3-year-olds through Kindergarten) Thursday, January 9 – 6:00-7:30pm 1709 W Elizabeth St, Fort Collins, CO 80521 (On the south end of Westminster Presbyterian Church)

 

Elementary Open House Thursday, January 16 – 6:00-7:00pm 1900 S Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80526 (Ground floor of Immanuel Christian Reformed Church) Questions? Email [email protected] .

 

ABOUT FCMS Fort Collins Montessori School provides a classic PreK-6th grade Montessori program that inspires and empowers children with an exceptional educational experience based on the principles and philosophy of Doctor Maria Montessori. Founded in 2014, FCMS is a Poudre School District public charter school and is the only Montessori school in northern Colorado to offer Montessori education past kindergarten.
