Parent Ed Night – Transitions From the Classroom to the Real World

Fort Collins Montessori School • Nov 07, 2018

Our next Parent Ed Night will be Thursday, November 8th! All FCMS parents and caregivers, as well as the greater Fort Collins community, are invited!

This month’s topic is  Transitions: From the Classroom to the Real World.

We will focus on the importance of the 3-year cycle and how it fosters responsibility and community in the classroom at each age level. We will allow plenty of time for a Q&A for parents preparing for their child to age up into traditional middle school, move from Primary to Elementary, or contemplating a move to a different program.

Please consider the following questions to prepare:

  1. How will my child transition from Montessori to the public setting?
  2. What will the transition look like from Primary to Elementary? Lower El to Upper El?
  3. What are the benefits of staying for Kindergarten versus transferring to our neighborhood school?
  4. Are Montessori children ready for the “real world?”

This event will be hosted at the Primary Site but will be a collaboration between Primary and Elementary Guides and intended for parents of children of all ages.

Please join us Thursday, November 8th from 6:00-7:30 at the Primary Campus at 1709 W Elizabeth Street in
Fort Collins.
