By all measures it was a great success! Over 300 tickets were sold (up 45% over last year), a vegetarian chili stole the show (congratulations Lori!) and over $6,000 was raised for FCMS.
A big shout out goes to State Representative Jeni Arndt , Head of School Frank Vincent, and Ginger & Baker chefs Henry Laser and Mike Ward for tucking in their napkins and rolling up their sleeves to taste 19 chilis!! That was no simple feat.
We also want to recognize the donors and sponsors of our event—they were the key to the success of this fundraiser. We encourage you to support the individuals and businesses below in return for their supporting our school. A click thru from this page is an easy way to recognize their gift.
Finally, a big thank you goes out to all friends and family of FCMS who attended and completed our follow-up survey. 95% of survey participants agreed that the annual Chili Cook-Off & Silent Auction is a good thing and that it should continue! For this to happen we will need a few more organizers and hands on deck to get plans for next year’s event rolling. Stay tuned for a call for help.
As always, suggestions for next year’s event are welcome. Feel free to email [email protected] .
