After School Enrichment Programs
Fort Collins Montessori school offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students after the school day. These activities allow students to expand their educational experience through sports, games, music, arts, and clubs. Extracurricular activities have varying prices paid on a fall/spring basis, depending upon who is teaching the the activity and if the child is already enrolled in our after care program.

This weekly art program focuses is on creative development. Students to a variety of mediums.Children are encouraged to create and use their imagination. Projects are generally completed in 1 or 2 sessions.
Join us for the exciting game of chess! Each class includes 30 min of instruction and 30 min of playtime taught by an experienced chess coach.
This class will focus on improvisation as a form of storytelling and theatre. The student create fun characters and create text for them straight from inside themselves. We also spend a significant amount of time on shortform improv games that rely heavily on the skills of listening to others, sharing the stage, making bold choices, accepting information from others, going with the flow, and confidence.
The Elementary Music Class provides opportunities for creating music as a group. This includes singing, playing instruments, movement, and performing in a group setting. We practice reading music, listening, and being musical together.
Entrepreneurial Club provides students with the opportunity to learn about business ownership and management, while giving back to the school. Students in the club learn what a business is, how to create a basic business plan and budget, and how to turn a business plan into reality. Students work together to brainstorm a product or service they can offer and to create a business whose profits will benefit the school.
The German language class is offered to 1st graders and up with or without prior knowledge of German. The class is designed to quick start on building up German vocabulary and to speak everyday German, as well as to learn German grammar basics and reading. The class is filled with a variety of information to familiarize students with German culture: German traditions, food, remarkable places, famous Germans and more.
Kids are already naturally gifted creators. Then they get added inspiration from our specially trained instructors. They dive into massive collections of LEGO® and while they build elaborate objects, structures and vehicles, they explore fundamental principles of engineering and physics. They also learn to collaborate and create without fear of mistakes. The experience is joyful, the impact long-lasting.
Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary and Middle Schools (MOEMS) is a worldwide math competition, organized by a not for profit foundation with the same name. Detailed information can be found at www.moems.org. For our math club, we’ll build a team for MOEMS elementary division (grades 4-6). Club members explore a topic or strategy in depth, or practice for possible contests. Contest participation is not required.
Music & Movement Class
Early Childhood Music and Movement classes are taught by an experienced early childhood music provider who is also a CSU professor, and board-certified music therapist. Classes are suitable for primary-aged (preschool) children regardless of ability and no previous musical involvement is required. We use egg shakers, sticks, scarves, and more! Focus of classes is on developing, musical, social, and physical abilities of all children.

Get outside and get kickin’! We teach the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, receiving and scoring. Emphasis is on teamwork, fundamentals, safety and fast-paced action. Get your pulse pounding today.
Get outdoors with our high-octane street hockey course. Develop your basic stick handling, shooting and teamwork skills. Safety and sportsmanship are emphasized each week. Street Hockey sticks and street hockey balls will be used. For boys and girls alike!
