Parent Education: Sleep and Your Wellbeing

Please join us for a virtual Parent Education event Thursday, November 12 from 5:30-6:15pm.

Our presenter will be Jami Cheateaux. Jamie is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist, a Clinical Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and holds many other titles—including that of FCMS parent. Here is a synopsis of what Jami will be sharing.


If you don’t make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness. 

Staying healthy is a big concern for all of us, especially this year. Your wellbeing is impacted by so many things. Activity, diet, sleep, stress management, and interpersonal connection. All of these have become more challenging for many of us. This discussion will focus on recovery. The importance of sleep has been mentioned but many of us still do not make it a priority. We live in a world where work is valued and rest is often shunned. This talk will give you a better understanding of why sleep is important, how to improve sleep quality, and discuss strategies for playing offense with your health.
